Brian von Dedenroth (Dee-den-roth) is a Television Host, Speaker, Voice Over Artist, and Brand Spokesperson who has appeared nationwide on PBS, ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox. He’s hosted and narrated lifestyle programs on travel, food, and wine; he conducts wine seminars, and he coaches and presents on effective communication.
Brian earned Bachelor degrees in Biology and Psychology from UC San Diego and an MBA from San Diego State before the siren of dot com riches lured him from the silica beaches of San Diego to the silicon chips of San Francisco.
After dot bomb glitches brought insufficient riches with IBM and DoubleClick, Brian switched careers from gigabytes to sound bites. He started in TV news, then took jobs hosting for Amtrak, The Winemakers on PBS, and PR firm Miller-Weiner Communications. Brian’s been a spokesperson for such well-known companies as General Mills, Mattel, Coca-Cola, and The Boston Beer Company.
Brian combined his TV experience with self-taught culinary skills to become a semi-finalist on “The Next Food Network Star” and as a finalist on ABC’s “The Taste.” He missed winning by a teaspoon…ok more like a gallon but learned an important lesson – ‘Tis better to host than compete.
Brian’s been a member of The National Speakers Association and has spoken for Monster.com dispensing college preparation advice to thousands of high school students, and for The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine on the topics of Health and Nutrition.
In his spare time Brian enjoys spending time with his wife and young son traveling the world, especially the parts that make good food and wine.
